What an incredible turnout tonight! Thank you to the 19 folks who came out and spent your night with us. This evening we watched the short film, Stutterer, together, and then discussed it and our opinions, thoughts, feelings, on it. Some loved it, some felt they basically lived that movie, others thought it was cliche, and some thought it may have been a little unrealistic in some parts. One of our members said something to the effect of, "it was a reminder that sometimes we have to be braver than brave." Braver than brave. Think on it. Let it sink it. What does that mean to you?

After you watch it, head on over to our facebook page and leave a comment under our latest post about tonight's meeting. www.facebook.com/nsaportland/
It has been a while since our last post. A couple of changes in leadership and a lost website password made it difficult to update as necessary. Here we are though, ready to start it up again. We are in the process of updating the website, so please be patient if some information still appears outdated. It is definitely a process. If there is anything you feel is missing from the website that should be included, please feel free to contact us.
Our last meeting was a wonderful one. We had 4 new attendees and a total of 13 participants. After our opening words and introductions, we discussed what one word or thought is the first to come to mind when you hear the word 'stutter.' This lead to some deep and freeing, open conversation by our members. We also talked about some opportunities coming up in the community.
Our next meeting is set for October 25, 2016.
